Dr. Heather Wilkins graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2010. Prior to this she completed a BSc. in Biomedical Sciences with First Class Honours.
After university Heather moved to Bury St. Edmunds and completed her foundation year placements at West Suffolk Hospital and Addenbrookes Hospital, before later working as a G.P. registrar.
In 2015 she left the N.H.S. to work in the private medical sector and achieve a better work-life balance, and in 2017 she opened her aesthetics business specialising in natural looking treatments.
Keen to develop her skills she has completed multiple aesthetics courses including advanced botox & fillers, lip enhancement, chemical peels, skinboosters, polynucleotides, fat dissolving, and most recently fibroblast/plasma pen training. She also offers premium skincare, medical grade patches and supplements to enhance results and provide a ‘no needle’ alternative.
She now has her own award winning aesthetics clinic in Downham Market. Focused on providing a holistic approach to your treatment journey, and involved with Feel Good Norfolk, her passion for wellness and aesthetics, she has designed her clinic keeping in mind the experience she would wish to have as a client. This includes a discrete service, no posting of client photos online, cooling off period before treatment and allowing plenty of time for appointments.
“Since COVID there has been a dramatic increase in preventative medicine, rather than treating the resulting illness, as well as recognising the importance of self care. Self care is no longer a luxury, it is an essential.
Beauty is more than skin deep, its how we feel in ourselves. In a busy fast paced world, taking time for self care is increasingly important. A subtle tweak is often all that is needed to help enhance what you already have. Topical skincare can only do so much and sometimes a carefully chosen aesthetics treatment can save you a lot of time and money in the long run. A combination of injectables, topicals, skincare and supplements may be needed, everyone is different and together we can make a treatment plan for you”.
She has recently partnered with Prepaere as a campaign ambassador to provide vital screening and support for mental health in aesthetics, and is also recognised by the LGBTQ+ directory as a safe space.
